falling man
911 has past for nearly five years, I watched a film named ‘Falling man’ which tells a story about a falling man who jumped from World Center in 911. The film started with a photo, in that photo there is a man falling from the World Center, quiet and graceful. That is the last moment in his life, captured by a journalist.
Next day after 11th September, 2001, the picture was published by a local paper, The Morning Call, and gave a big shock to all Americans. People can’t accept the truth someone ended his life with this crucial way. We can imagine how hopeless this man was, there is no rescue, no hope, nothing. The only thing he can get rid of this is to jump, out of the building, out of his life. Smoke was so intense that the helicopter couldn’t land on the top, and the trapped people lost every method to get out. Thousands of people trapped in the up floors, hardly to breathe, and they are so desperate for air. They opened the windows and lay upon each other to get the little chance to breathe. There are so many guys losing hope and jumped, the falling man in the image is the only one.
Some phoned their families or friends in the most last time of their life, it is so sad a scenario, you need to say goodbye forever to your intimate lovers. Couples of minutes, the south tower collapsed first, and several minutes after, the north tower fell. The most famous landmark in New York has been disappeared forever.
The film captured different responses of people at the moment, it is really startling for most citizens, and they cried and can’t accept the bad truth. I would like to give my sympathy to the Americans, I totally understand their sorrows but I can’t neglect the sorrows presented by America to the people in Iraq and many other countries in the world. Enmity is not a good thing, neither is chauvinism. If you don’t want to be invaded, don’t invade others. 引用通告此日志的引用通告 URL 是: http://ziboshelley.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E77C5C0ECE3E536D!777.trak 引用此项的网络日志
